This last summer former Ant Hill resident Ben Ballerstein, for his Master's thesis in Environmental Policy and Democratic Processes at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, embarked on a road-trip with two other students to discover housing cooperatives across America and film a beautiful documentary with those who founded and inhabit these places.

To raise money for gear and hardware, software, and trip expenses, Ben launched a Kickstarter campaign http://kck.st/gOZ1MA, to which some of us contributed. In Ann Arbor this November, Ben presented near final cuts at http://NASCO.coop/institute/ and today burned videodiscs for backers to share.

Join us Friday evening. The United Nations declared 2012 the International Year of the Cooperative. We'll have the popcorn ready!
