MOTHER'S DAY WAS GREYHOUND DAY AT GREAT OUTDOORS!

Betty Sue (now Gracie) showed up with her mom looking fabulous. Then
Casey came strolling in with her parents. (She was thrilled to see
Ryan and Champ again.) Next came Aristotle and his mom. We attracted
quite a crowd, and all of the adopters stayed to answer questions. We
had several good conversations in a beautiful setting on a perfect
day. Several members of the Great Outdoors staff came by to tell us
that seeing the greyhounds always makes them happy. Of course, Champ
was the superstar that he always is. His jaw must be sore, because he
chattered at everyone who walked by to pet him. All in all, a greyt
day! Thanks to Ryan & Champ!

ONLY NINETEEN MORE DAYS - YIKES!
"GREYHOUNDS CAPTURE OUR SOUL, HEART AND WORLD"

The magic website is http://www.cafepress.com/heismansghart/751963

Every month a different charitable organization is chosen by Heisman's
Greyhound Art to receive a portion of the proceeds generated by the
sales of merchandise in Heisman's Store. Please visit the website and
check out AGA's feature: Your officers have chosen a design that we
think you'll like and want to order. At the end of May AGA will
receive a portion of the profits from the sales of the merchandise.
So, please, buy, buy, buy. Can we ever have enough greyhound stuff?

NEW DOGS COMING IN FAST

"Patrick" and "Maven" have both arrived in the care of AGA. Both boys
are three years old and have wonderful personalities. It seems that
we've discovered another farm whose owner takes pride in his hounds
and is passionate about their health and well being. Members of AGA
will be making another trip shortly to get more of his greys.

BOARD MEETING

If you'd like to become more involved in AGA (and heaven knows we need
you!) please come to the next board meeting on Saturday, May 24th at
6:00 pm at Serrano's Mexican Restaurant. It's located in the Lakeline
Mall area. The summer is approaching which is a notoriously difficult
time to be out in the public showing greyhounds. Luckily, we having a
standing Meet & Greet at Petsense in the Round Rock Outlet Mall the
4th Sunday of every month.

WHICH BRINGS US TO THIS:

Sunday, May 25 from 1-3 pm is our next Meet & Greet at the Petsense in
the Round Rock Outlet Mall. Thankfully, it's air conditioned!!! Come
join the fun. The more the merrier!

CHECKED THEM TAGS LATELY?

Be sure you have contact information on your dogs' collars! Many
people will be taking their greys with them on vacation. Dogs that
get to vacation with their families may inadvertently slip out an open
door and quickly become lost in unfamiliar territory. Pets that are
left at home may feel separated from their families, may feel
abandoned and rejected and may succeed in escaping a house from which
they would ordinarily not try to escape. AGA has large tags with
contact information on them. If you want one, contact any of the
officers. Make sure your vaccination tag is current and has the name
of your vet on it. Additional information may be placed on a separate
tag giving your dog's name and your home information. Before you jump
into summer check your grey's tags!!! And have a greyt one!
