Every month a different charitable organization is chosen by Heisman's
Greyhound Art to receive a portion of the proceeds generated by the
sales of merchandise in Heisman's Store. Please visit the following

Your officers have chosen a design that we think you'll like and want
to order. It says "Greyhounds Capture our Soul, Heart and World". At
the end of May AGA will receive a portion of the profits from the
sales of the merchandise. So, please, buy, buy, buy. Don't forget:
this stuff makes great gifts!!!

A BOARD MEETING COMETH

If you'd like to attend our next board meeting mark your calendar for
Saturday, May 24 at 6:00 pm. We meet at the Serrano's in the Lakeline
Mall area. Enjoy Mexican food and your favorite drink while we
discuss business. Everyone is welcome to attend.

CONDOLENCES

Gary, Lana, Grappa and Danny lost their favorite girl Saturday night
when Faye aka Unowaite Aimee returned to spirit. She'd come to the
Henley household from Town Lake Animal Shelter where she'd been picked
up running loose. She'd obviously been a rabbit runner. She ran like
Goofy, had a piece out of her nose and a broken-down ear, but she had
the spirit of a precious child. She was skin & bones and her hair
felt like a Brillo pad; but the Henleys soon had meat on her ribs and
her black coat shiny as glass. She was six then, and they had the
privilege of her company for 6-1/2 more years. What a blessing. She
will be greatly missed.

HOUNDS ARE BEING ADOPTED !!!

AGA's biggest problem these days is keeping a supply of retired racers
available for adoption - a good problem to have! George, Manny and
Bonnie were all placed in their forever homes since our last
newsletter. All the new parents seem to have fallen in love with
their new friends. Thank you for being so generous with your life.
Mandy, Kelly and Rawhide are being interviewed! Adoption applications
continue to come in, and new dogs are arriving. Watch the website for
new faces!

MEET & GREET

Last year AGA held a M&G at The Great Outdoors Nursery on south
Congress, and it was a huge success. It seemed that everyone took
their mother shopping for plants. Another M&G is schedule for this
coming Sunday, May 11 from 1-3pm. If you live south come join the fun
and talk greyhounds!
