Hello everybody,

I experience some problems with the AnimationFriendlyRigging shelf for parts 3a & b - the new scripts cannot be loaded. I do everything as written in the README file - copy all scripts, shelf, and icons to my computer as usual. Yet, the new scripts are not part of the shelf when I start Maya.

Any ideas what the reason could be or what I am doing wrong? I work under Windows 10 and Maya 2014.

Thank you,

Elena

Hi Elena

Did you do  copied the script into maya script folder in C drive? It's simple actually just copy and run their name in 'script editor' tab.

Hi Adien,

Yes, I do exactly this and still nothing. However I found a new way to solve the problem even though it's not the best one: I re-load (delete & load again) the shelf every time I start maya and then it runs properly.. well almost properly. Perhaps there is some incompatibility with Maya 2014?!

Cheers,
Elena

Hi Elena,

I don't have it handy, but I rewrote the shelf back in 2011 to fix compatibility issues, and the fix was posted to this forum.  If you search by my name in this forum you should be able to find it.

It might be in an email from Jason directly, if I recall correctly.

If that doesn't work I'll look this weekend and see what I can find.

Cheers,

Joe
