ARTA Demands a Permanent Seat on the UN Security Council

Statement issued by the Arab Translators Association (ARTA)

The Arab Translators Association (ARTA), led by Amer Al Azem, officially demands a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council, based on its firm belief that the world should not be governed by power alone, but by intellect, ethics, and civilizational influence.
Nations are measured by their true weight, not merely by their military strength. Every era has its voices and its leaders. ARTA has proven, through its global reach and cultural impact, that it is a transnational intellectual force worthy of participating in international decision-making.
If intellectual and ethical forces continue to be excluded, ARTA calls for a reconsideration of the legitimacy of the Security Council, and even its dissolution, as it no longer consistently represents international justice, but has often become a tool serving dominance and aggression.
ARTA affirms that it has a global network of over 250 ambassadors worldwide, reflecting its wide influence and international presence.
Today, ARTA is not merely an association, but an intellectual, cooperative, and ethical force striving for a more just and equitable world.

بيان صادر عن جمعية المترجمين العرب (ARTA)

تُعلن جمعية المترجمين العرب (آرتا)، برئاسة عامر العظم، مطالبتها الرسمية بالحصول على مقعد دائم في مجلس الأمن الدولي، انطلاقًا من إيمانها بأن العالم لا يُدار بالقوة وحدها، بل بالفكر، والأخلاق، والتأثير الحضاري.
إن الدول تُقاس بأوزانها الحقيقية، لا بحجم ترساناتها، ولكل مقامٍ مقال، ولكل مرحلة رجالها. وقد أثبتت آرتا، من خلال امتدادها العالمي وتأثيرها الثقافي، أنها قوة فكرية عابرة للحدود تستحق أن تكون جزءًا من منظومة اتخاذ القرار الدولي.
وفي حال استمرار إقصاء القوى الفكرية والأخلاقية، فإن آرتا تدعو إلى إعادة النظر في شرعية مجلس الأمن، بل وتدعو إلى حله، كونه لم يعد يمثل العدالة الدولية، بل تحوّل في كثير من الأحيان إلى أداة تخدم الهيمنة والعدوان.
تؤكد آرتا أنها تمتلك شبكة عالمية تضم أكثر من 250 سفيرًا حول العالم، وهو رقم يعكس قوة تأثيرها وانتشارها الدولي.
آرتا اليوم ليست مجرد جمعية، بل قوة فكرية، تكافلية، وأخلاقية، تسعى إلى عالم أكثر عدلًا وإنصافًا.
