Dearly beloved in Christ,
Loving greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope you are doing well this morning. Please don't forget to acknowledge the doings of God in your life. Always be cheerful and thankful to the Lord, for what HE has done.
It is a common trait that when we don't receive answer to our prayers, or if it takes longer than usual, we start losing our faith in God, or we try to find a solution in our own way, or we resort to cheaper alternatives. The outcome of such an action is disaster. Because, our knowledge is limited, and therefore we don't know what is good, and exactly required in our lives. Throughout the Bible, one fact is emphasized time and again in every book of the Bible. It is that God loves us, and wishes the best for us, at all times.
God promised Abraham, that he will be blessed with a son. Many years passed since the promise, and as nothing happened, Sarah decided to take things in her own hand. She gave Hagar, her handmaid to Abraham and through that relationship a son (Ishmael) was born. Later we read about the problems Sarah faced because of Hagar and her son Ishmael.
Another example I find in the Bible (Numbers ch32 v 1-6) is from the Israelites wandering. God delivered the Israelites from the Egyptians and promised them a land flowing with milk and honey (Canaan). In one instance, they were almost near the promised land, and due to their unbelief, God didn't allow them to enter the land, but led them again through the wilderness for 40 years. During this wandering, we read about how one of the tribes of Israel, come across a land, which they found comfortable for them and their cattle, and they requesting Moses to allow them to settle there. How big a compromise they were making? They couldn't wait any longer. They found this land much better than God's promised land. What a cheap compromise?
Are you today tired of waiting for God's promises? Are you thinking that God doesn't know what is good for you? Then please learn from the above examples. God knows what is best for you.
Trust in HIM completely, and see for yourself.
Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Psalm 139:17-18 "How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee."
God Bless You,
