Is there any way to change the code on the aluminum fence bottom rail?
There is currently a minimum distance from grade to be no more than 2".
This is a code that's primarily used in a guard rail sitituaton to
prevent a bottle from rolling off the balconies. In a pool rail
situation there is no elevated balcony and the code in my opinion
should be that the space shall not allow a 4" sphere to pass through
it. Please comment on how you feel about this. Maybe I am missing
interpreting the real reason for the 2".
