Can anyone guess who said it, and what movie its from?
Tom
Anyone else for a Trivia Question?
(I think we should keep the movies family oriented)

Put a face with this quote:
You will now be known as "Cocoa the Monkey"
Pardon me, and I do not mean to offend you, but . . . . It strikes me as
inappropriate for this discussion group to get involved in TV trivia. Is
this the public face you would like viewed?
I suggest that if you want to do this, you can send it to the very same
group without it going thru the google discussion group.

Thanks to Brian Hall for doing the work and sending the files. To continue
the investigation, here is what I have done.
From the Moments of Inertia of the respective beams, I have taken the
dimension from the centroid to the flange extremity and calculated the
Section Modulii (2.585 and 1.472 respectively).
I have also taken the information (data) from the 2 span charts on the Pool
Enclosure Collectives product approval drawing (FL-1114) and calculated the
allowable moments from 10 ft to 25, using the data supplied by them on the
drawing using the formula M=PL/4. The results are attached in pdf format.
Taking the resulting moment values and dividing by the section modulus (a
physical and eminently measurable property) , we then observe the allowable
stresses produced (Fb = Mx / Sx). The maximum values produced: 19.4 ksi
(2X7) and 23.9 ksi (2X5) are believable (although the 2005 ADM in Table 2-20
lists the maximum allowable bending stress for a gross section of 19 ksi for
6005T5).
The currently available 2X8 SMB has an allowable moment of 46.9 k-in, so,
the 2X7 Trac Beam is on a par with the existing 6063T6 legacy 2X8. According
to their claim (via their drawing) the 2X5 Trac is significantly stronger
than the existing 2X7 (very believable) but less strong than the legacy
6063T6 2X8 SMB at a maximum allowable moment of 35.1 k-in.

The PDF that is uploaded seems to be corrupt. I am unable to open it and I
have the latest version of Adobe Professional. Would you mind uploading it
again? Thanks!!

That doesn't offend me at all. I'm not sure how it would reflect a
negative face though?
In any case, I was only trying to lighten up a little on the
conversations on this general discussion board.
I hope no one was offended by that, and if there is any question as to
nature and orientation of my trivia questions I can assure everyone
that I meant no harm.

Fortunately, David is not administering this site. He probably would have
revoked your access if he was.
Brian, I also had a problem with David's PDF email attachment. The problem
appears to be with Google's processing. The file is available via the Google
Groups site and it downloaded fine.
