Delay in implementing 2007 FBC

Implementation of the 2007 Florida Building Code has been postponed until March 1^st, 2009.

 

A notable change pertaining to the screen enclosure industry is that all roof members will be defined as "Primary". This includes corner jacks and lateral bracing. As a consequence, the members must be capable of withstanding a 300lb load applied vertically downward along any foot. The new definition is in §2002.2.1.
