Hi,
I like the panel because it's smaller. I only wish two things for the panel:
1. The holes for mounting the switches be about 0.5mm or 200mils larger so we can use the more affordable and much more abundant lug switches instead of paying 5x for panel mount switches.
2. The holes for mounting the switches can be a choice of hex format or octal format.
The flat tab switches aren't much more expensive than "bat" or "flat" arm switches, but because the plastic flat tabs are so close together and only 9mm wide it's difficult to toggle one switch. I need to use a pencil or a long thumb nail to toggle the switches. Still, sometimes two switches get toggled at the same time.
A recent thought from how I use the switches on my ZAltair mini-FP computer is that it would be nice to have the far left five switches slightly longer (15mm) flat arm switches, then the same for the RESET switch. The STOP switch would be flat arm but the regular 10mm length and all the rest of the switches would be 10mm bat arm switches.
A couple of things with that setup is, they become a reminder as to BOOTing the computer as well as a little ease of use.
