Greetings
I wanted to share something I created based on Walt's presentation in last Sundays Zoom call.   Using AltairZ80 SIMH and DZMBASIC  I had some fun tonight creating a simple Holiday Image.   I've attached a link to a video of my efforts below.   Most difficultly I having was not having real good DZMBASIC docs except a cheat sheet from Walt so I had to figure out the basics before creating this simple animated image.
This was my first effort using DMZBasic and Dazzler so honestly my result are very crude .. but still isn't that just part of the retro fun !

Enjoy

Hi,

You're doing better at the start than I was!  Good Job!

Hi,

Post your DZMBASIC program so others can see what you've done to make the Christmas tree and lights.

Don't worry about the code not being elegant, the solution can help the next guy get going.

Walt
Happy to share.. I attached the DZM_XMAS.BAS file....
A few comments about the code...
As you said this is rough code, and as such I am sure the code can be cleaned up and optimized.
The tree lights are randomize so each time you run the program the tree is different (well as different as MBASIC can randomize)
Also you need to hit "ctrl-c" to exit as I used an infinite loop to flip dazzler memory pages to blink the lights

I really wish there was a full DZMBasic manual, as  I may have used some of the DZOP commands inefficiently or even incorrectly as I was guessing on how they functioned.
Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
Joe
