Hi,

Like discussed in yesterday's ZOOM ... The definition of "Vintage" is you turn it ON and it works.  You turn if OFF for any reason, then turn it ON again and it doesn't work!

Today, after an email telling me AltMon and the FDC+ board work at 4MHz, I decided to pull the Cromemco ZPU from my ZAltair Z80c computer #1 and install one of my CB2 Z80 CPU boards ... I couldn't get the computer to BOOT to AMON or CP/M, so I tried another CB2 Z80 CPU board and it didn't work either, so I installed a TDL ZPU board and this is what I get ... almost working.

Hi,

So I have the   ZAltair Z80c computer #1 back up 'n running.

I goto add the Cromemco ZPU into the ZAltair 8800c Front Panel computer which has a FlexRAM board and Martin Eberhard 88-2SIOJP board , but when I power up the computer, the address LEDs are blinking like the computer is searching through the addresses!

When I ReInstalled the SSM CB2 Z80 board, the computer I'm back to it not BOOTing, but not flickering LEDs for no reason after power ON and I can STOP - RESET and see the address LEDs stop.

Is “BO” the Amon command to boot? Not sure why it is returning a “?” If it’s a valid command.

Do any of the Amon commands work, like dumping memory?

I would think Amon wouldn’t have any problems running at 4MHz.

I have no problems with Altmon or booting CP/M from the Serial Drive Server with a Z80 at 4MHz.
