Hi Cleveland Circle Improvement Supporters,
Please consider joining this evening’s virtual Boston Planning Department meeting on the Cleveland Circle redesign, part of the Allston-Brighton Community Plan.
Planning staff will present a redesign concept focused on pedestrian safety and seek feedback to guide future coordination with the MBTA, including work on Reservoir Yard, outdated track removal,
and the long-term reconstruction and beautification of the intersection in connection with the new trolley car (#10) design.
This is an important chance for residents, commuters, property and business owners, and anyone who uses Cleveland Circle to learn about the proposal and share input on its long-term future. It’s
also an opportunity to ask how public comments will be considered and incorporated, especially given concerns that extensive feedback on the nearby Beacon Street redesign was ignored.
If you care about safety, traffic, transit access, or the future of Cleveland Circle, I hope you’ll join.

Allston-Brighton Community Plan | Cleveland Circle Intersection Redesign Public Meeting
Boston Planning Department
Monday, June 22, 2026, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Please join staff of the Planning Department for a virtual meeting on the redesign of Cleveland Circle, as part of the
Allston Brighton
Community Plan. Staff will present a potential concept for the redesign that seeks to prioritize pedestrian safety. Our goal is to collect feedback on this concept to help guide ongoing coordination with the MBTA
at Cleveland Circle and the adjacent Reservoir Yard. This will be coordinated with future maintenance and the removal of outdated tracks through the intersection, as well as reconstruction and beautification of the intersection and roadway itself.
The proposed concept will be incorporated into the Allston-Brighton Community Plan (ABCP). This meeting is being held prior to the ABCP Draft release to support timely and ongoing engagement with the MBTA. The focus of this conversation is on the longer-term
vision for Cleveland Circle, rather than the current C
Branch Accessibility Improvements Project, or the ongoing and much-needed patching work.
Please stay tuned for more information about the Draft Allston-Brighton Community Plan and Zoning release in the coming months!
