Today, Wednesday, May 6 at 6 pm, the City will be holding a virtual public meeting about “Beacon Street Safety Updates”, as the City’s website refers to it.

From what we know at this point, this project will include repaving Beacon Street, starting at the Newton border at BC and ending at Chestnut Hill Ave. While certainly welcome, this project will improve a stretch of road that is not nearly as bad as roadways in Cleveland Circle.
This meeting is an opportunity for the community to inquire about improving things in Cleveland Circle -- an issue which is currently in limbo and requires continuing strong civic engagement (meaning everyone’s voices are needed to move things forward).
