Did you know…
… that the MBTA has a Lost and Found system with numbers that you can call for each subway line?

GLT Improvements Continue Across the Green Line

  • Symphony Station Accessibility Improvements
This week at Symphony Station, crews continued to work on conduits for Eversource on the underside of the Huntington Ave overpass, and worked to connect the new water line to Horticultural Hall. This work will continue over the next several weeks. More details can be found on the project website.

To report a construction-related issue on the Symphony Station project, call the hotline at 857-202-0831. It will be answered during construction hours Monday-Friday (except holidays). All voicemails left outside of construction hours will be addressed on the following weekday shift.

Adjacent Projects

We also want you to be aware of adjacent projects. While the GLT team does not directly oversee these projects, we coordinate closely with the teams leading them.

  • Union Branch Service Suspension for Route 28 Squires Bridge
Green Line Union Branch service will be suspended from Monday, September 18, through Thursday, October 12, to allow for MassDOT work on the Route 28 Squires Bridge. Riders can use Routes 86, 91, and CT2 between Union Square and East Somerville Station on the Medford Branch. These routes also service Sullivan Square Station on the Orange Line. Route 87 can also be used between Union Square and Lechmere Station.
  • Service Suspension for Government Center Garage Work
Green Line Service will be suspended between Government Center and North Station from September 18 until October 12 to allow for work on the Government Center Garage demolition. Riders should use the Orange Line for alternate service between North Station and Downtown Crossing. B, C, D, and E Branch service will originate/terminate at Government Center.
