Chaired by Harvard Allston Task Force (HATF) member Ed Kotomori, this subcommittee invites developer construction mitigation and community relations staff, Boston Police Department District 14, local and state elected officials and their representatives, and local North Allston neighbors, to discuss construction and safety issues in the neighborhood. All are welcome to attend and contribute.

6 house breaks, very low; several arrests have been made
6 larceny motor vehicle only, unlocked doors or key fobs in the car, taking spare change
2 car thefts
15 shoplifting etc., have made many arrests
Mopeds and sit-down scooter enforcement still going on across the city: need to be registered with license plates; should food delivery companies be responsible
Motorized standing scooters: dangerous, high speed; serious injuries and one death; don't have to have registration/license
Neighbor comment: tables at intersections can slow them down
Neighbor question: Market St accident, a stolen car crashed into a house; fight on Franklin St at the laundromat yesterday (parked car blocked driveways)
Neighbor concern: 5:30-6:30am often cars going the wrong way down Windom St.

A brand-new 2-bay ambulance garage has been constructed on Speedway street in addition to an older 2-bay ambulance garage
Neighbor concern: party house with HBS students on Hopedale St; appeal to landlord, HBS if parties are excessive

West Sorrento St stop sign will not be moved; might have another solution; transportation department says stop signs are not used for traffic calming; will report back in November. Speed hump installations have been paused for the moment. Hopedale is a throughway during rush hour as a cut-through to avoid the Cambridge/North Harvard Street light.
Electric wheelchair has to go on Windom Street north of Hopedale; has to go in the street because of crumbled sidewalk
