I'm excited to invite you to Funk Fest: The Concert Experience, a project that Vaughan Bradley-Willemann and I have been developing over the past year. We've assembled an incredibly talented cast of local artists, musicians, dancers, and storytellers, and I think you're really going to enjoy what we've created.
The show will be presented twice on Saturday, June 27, with performances at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Admission is completely free, and the Strand Theatre can accommodate up to 1,400 people, so please feel free to invite friends, family, colleagues, and anyone else who might enjoy the experience.
As a small personal favor, I'd love your help spreading the word. The performance takes place just a few days before my birthday, and seeing the Strand Theatre full of people would be an incredible gift.
Please be sure to RSVP so we can get an accurate sense of attendance for each performance.

A Trike Called Funk’s fourth iteration of Funk Fest brings together live music, DJing, dance, multimedia storytelling, and some of Boston's finest creatives for an experiential live performance.
Part concert, part dance showcase, and part multimedia storytelling, the performance weaves together a live music ensemble, dance demonstrations, and video portraits of Boston creatives who continue to carry this legacy forward.
What began as a gathering of funk lovers and street dancers has evolved into Funk Fest: The Concert Experience, celebrating the artists, communities, and traditions that continue to shape and sustain the genre today.
Conceived and developed by Vaughan Bradley-Willemann and Edward Galan of A Trike Called Funk, it’s both a commemoration and a call to action: to remember, to gather, to move, and to keep the funk alive.
