November SNAP payments may be delayed due to the federal government shutdown.

Background: What You Need to Know
ALERT: The federal government shutdown may lead to the delay or suspension of November SNAP benefits.
The Deadline: If Congress and President Trump don’t end the federal government shutdown or release contingency SNAP funding by October 31, SNAP benefits for November will be delayed. During previous federal government shutdowns, the government has used
contingency funds to cover SNAP benefits. This time, the Trump administration is choosing to withhold benefits.
Your EBT Card Status: If you have any SNAP funds left over from October, you can still use your EBT card. If you have at least $0.01 on your EBT card, Healthy Incentive Program (HIP) benefits will still be available to use.
Future Benefits: You will receive all delayed benefits once the federal shutdown ends.
For the most current official information, always refer to the Massachusetts DTA Website. The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), the agency that runs SNAP in Massachusetts, will be providing information to current SNAP recipients via text and
DTA Connect.
