REGISTER TO ATTEND PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT FORUMS!
In partnership with local community organizations, the Office of Participatory Budgeting will host
five in-person Proposal Development Forums in October and November of 2025. The objective of these forums is for residents to review and prioritize the ideas collected over the summer, and to draft proposals for PB Voting in January 2026.
Join one of the forums in October to review and prioritize project ideas for the PB Ballot!
NOTE: Because of limited space, and to allow others to participate, please register for one Proposal Development Forum only.

Install Benches at High Ridership Public Transit Bus Stops in Boston: $150,000
The Streets Cabinet released a Request for Proposals (RFP) on September 10 to procure the benches. The RFP includes plaques for the benches to acknowledge the PB process and resident decision-making as the originators of this project.
Between the vendor's proposal, and the MBTA taking care of storing and installing the benches, the
Streets Cabinet will be able to procure approximately 120 benches instead of the original 50. Installation is scheduled to happen by early spring, if not sooner. The Streets team is currently assessing where the benches will be placed.
