Dear friends and neighbors of Ringer Park
We had a great pre-construction meeting with Omasta Landscaping today, and I’m pleased to share that the contractor has agreed to do their best to keep sections of the part that are not active work zones open to the public for as long as possible. We specifically discussed keeping the main path from Gordon Street to Allston Street open as long as possible, since it is such an important route for neighbors, commuters, and dog walkers. I’ve also asked Omasta to give me as much notice as possible before different areas of the park close, so I can keep you updated as work progresses.
This Thursday or Friday, the ballfield and the Webley Street entrance will close. That entrance will serve as the contractor’s main access point and staging area. Next week, the playground is likely to close, though safe passage along the main path between the two work zones will remain a priority for as long as feasible.
Thanks for your patience and support while we get this park renovated for you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns. We’ll do our best to accommodate specific requests, while staying mindful of the project’s tight timeline and budget.
Thanks,
Nellie
