This is a virtual Public Meeting for the proposed project at 170-172 Western Avenue, located in the Allston neighborhood of Boston. The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the project to the public in order to gather comments and feedback for the development team.
The Proposed Project would consist of a new eight (8) story building with ground floor retail spaces. The street level will contain approximately 1,395 square feet of retail space and 1:1 bicycle parking following Planning Department bicycle parking guidelines. One of the two proposed ground floor retail spaces will host the dry cleaners that has served the community since the 1960’s. Floors two through eight will contain twenty (20) total residential units, with a mix of twelve (12) one-bedroom units, seven (7) two-bedroom units, and one (1) three-bedroom unit. The Proposed Project will provide twenty (20) indoor long-term bicycle parking spaces and eight (8) outdoor short-term bicycle parking spaces across four (4) bike racks, for a total of twenty-eight (28) bicycle parking spaces. Trash and recycling will be serviced from Travis Street.
