Subject: Ringer Park: Construction Update (Dec-Jan)
Dear friends and neighbors of Ringer Park,
I hope you had an excellent holiday! Thank you for your patience while we continue to construct the Improvements to Ringer Park. I wanted to reach out for a few reasons:
-
We recognize that some of the recent site work has been noisy and disruptive for some neighbors. During excavation, significant ledgestone was discovered that needed to be removed to install new underground utilities; this drilling process is causing the hammering
sounds you may be hearing. We apologize for any disturbance caused to your daily lives.
-
The contractor plans to cease all work and shut down the site at the end of this week until temperatures rise enough to allow work to safely resume; the ground is currently frozen. The contractor is expected to return in a month or two, as the weather permits.
There should be no construction activity until then.
Attached is a construction update for December through January with more detail about construction progress and some of the challenges we are currently studying solutions for. I will continue to keep you all in the loop as the project progresses. Please check
the
project webpage for future updates. The contractor is doing great work. They are very committed to getting this park open next summer (and they have not forgotten the community request to reopen a neighborhood cut-through passageway as soon as it is safe
to do so). Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Nellie
