Subject: Ringer Park: Full Closure Ahead

Hi all,

Thanks for your ongoing patience with the construction of the Improvements to Ringer Park.

I received word from the contractor today that in order to safely complete tree removals and install site-wide drainage structures, Omasta needs to fully close the park starting next Wednesday until further notice.

I have asked that Omasta reopen the woodland trail if at all possible, as soon as they can, once the drainage work is complete, so that at least one connection through the park is restored; however, they cannot commit to a specific timeline at this point. For now, please expect the park to remain fully closed for at least the next month, with the exception of the tennis courts, which they will continue to try to keep open with access from Imrie Road.

We apologize for this inconvenience. Please know that both Parks and the contractor are prioritizing reopening sections of the park as soon as it is safe to do so.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please note: the trees that have been tagged with pink tree tape are not removals - they are tagged for pruning to ensure their long-term survival!

Nellie
