Did you hear? The Speedway is fully occupied and (almost) fully open, and our little corner of Brighton is getting more exciting by the day. That can only mean one thing: it's time for our first Block Party of the season!
Join us this Sunday, June 12th for a site-wide celebration - members of our Speedway community + some special guests will be here to celebrate the start of the first (for real) SUMMER AT THE SPEEDWAY!
A few highlights:
Super
Bien will be taking over the patio and serving up wine & empanadas outside. If you’re lucky, you may even get a sneak peak inside their beautiful Grocery Bar space! (It's gorgeous - and ALMOST ready to open.)
The Koji Club is part of this epic patio takeover - time to try a new-to-you sake or maybe even a Yuzu Sake Spritz?
Notch
Brewing will preview their upcoming Notch Provisions food and retail space with freshly baked pretzels - the perfect pairing for a nice cold beer, of course.
Hummus
v Hummus is now offering hummus flights! This week they're serving up Fudge, Peanut Butter & Fluff, Strawberries & Cream, Pumpkin Pie, Smoked Hummus, Fire Roasted Jalapeño Hummus, Original, and Roasted Beet Hummus - choose 4 flavors for $12!
Cambridge
Art Association will have a day full of interactive art demos for us all to enjoy - six artists will be on site throughout the day, and one lucky person will get to take home an original oil painting once it's complete! (Also - check out their June Small
Works show at the Speedway Gallery, featuring 50 affordable originals made by CAA artists.)
Bellwether
is offering up free samples and hosting a donation pool to the
Center for Reproductive Rights - for every $5 donation, it's one entry to win the raffle box of products.

Blue Bird Mobile Dessert Bar will have coffee + pastries from 12 - 2, Neighborhood
Produce will set up their amazing spread for the day,

Tipping
Cow Ice Cream is now scooping your favorite flavors! While the pints are perfect to take home, there's
nothing like an ice cream cone on a hot summer day. Congrats to Gerly and David on this milestone, we can't wait to eat ALL your ice cream this weekend. (Ok fine, we'll share.)

Consider this your reminder: the
Brighton Bazaar returns to the Speedway on June 16 for their now-famous Garage B night market from 5 - 9 pm. A note from the organizers:
We'll have music everywhere: a variety of acts are scheduled to perform on the patio, plus our DJs will be swinging & swaying, with their records playing. So call your friends or get a date, because every third Thursday we'll be working late!
