Comment End Date Wednesday, November 26, 2025
Linked below for your review is an electronic copy of the
Notice
of Project Change (NPC) for the proposed
Allston
Square project located in Allston which was received on Monday, October 27, 2025.
The filing kicks off the public review process for the proposed project. Notice of upcoming public meetings will be posted on the
project
website and sent out as soon as possible.
The following project description has been provided by the development team:
*City Realty, the Proponent, now proposes to revise the Project described in the previously approved Board Memo though the changes do not significantly modify the Project which was previously approved by the Boston Planning & Development Agency and the Zoning
Board of Appeal. Rather the listed changes seek to clarify the breakdown of units and commercial spaces proposed, properly identify the sites legal addresses as now recognized by the Boston Inspectional Services Department (“ISD”), amend the classification
of some of the residential units from condominiums to rental units, and further describe the phased nature of the Project and accompanying mitigation agreed upon between the Proponent and the BPDA. A new six-building mixed-use development with 344 residential
units, 12 of which are artist live/work units, 158 associated parking spaces, and 15,860 square feet of retail space.
This action will be handled as an Expedited Notice of Project Change at staff discretion focusing strictly on mitigation to offset reduced parking count. A public meeting to discuss the pending board action may be held upon request from a public official within
14 days of this notice. To request a public meeting, please email Nick Carter, Development Portfolio Manager atnick....@boston.gov.
