Dear friends and neighbors of Ringer Park,
It has been a delight to see so many of you enjoying the park over the past few weeks!
A quick update on the fenced-off passive-use lawn area: recent soil testing showed that some additional, deeper decompaction work is needed to give the new lawn the best possible foundation for healthy, long-term growth. While this will mean some additional disturbance to the grass, this work is an important step toward ensuring that the lawn can establish successfully and remain healthy for years to come.
The contractor and their team are currently planning to be on site Wednesday or Thursday this week to complete this work. It will require some heavy machinery, so you may notice increased activity within the fenced area during that time. Thank you for continuing to respect the need to keep the fenced area free of dogs and park user traffic while the final lawn work is completed and as the lawn gets reestablished.
PS: As is standard across our parks this time of year, the splash pad will also be turned off for the winter shortly by the contractor, if it has not been done so already.
Have a lovely week!
Nellie
