WORLDS OLDEST LIVING FAITH TRADITION
THE SANATAN DHARMA
The oldest continuous, living and still very vibrant Faith Tradition
in the
world is known to it's adherents as the Sanatan Dharma.
We in the West generally know it as "Hinduism."
Yes, Hinduism is it's most well known expression, but not it's only.
Other Great Faith Traditions also have their roots in this Vedic
ethos...
Jainism, Buddhism, Sikh Faith, and others.
There are also Traditions in
Bharat Varsa (India) that tell of Master Yesu, or Issa (Jesus) as
having lived and taught there.
Faint whispers of the Sanatan Dharma have also been known in the West
as the
Prisca Theologia, or the Perennial Philosophy.
We find it also in Greek Platonism and Neo-Platonism.
Westerners generally misunderstand and incorrectly accuse Hinduism of
being
polytheistic...Not So...Not So.
Hindu Dharma lends itself to rich and many diverse expressions, and
many depictions of the the many ways that The Divine expresses Itself.
However at the core of All Hindu Dharma is the basic fact that BRAHMAN
(GOD) IS ONE, THAT GOD IS ALL THAT THERE IS, AND THAT ALL IS A
INTEGRAL PART OF GOD.
"Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" The World is One Family, and All are a part of
it.
