Come join Algonquin as we venture out to try innovative fare at the aesthetically intriguing new "Sarsaparilla Club" in the renovated Shelborne Hotel. The restaurant serves "American dim sum", which translates into a menu filled with shareable plates that combine familiar comfort food with the spices and brightness found in pan-Asian cuisine. Dim sum fusion is another way to describe the experience, since sometimes the food is served on the little carts and in the steamed bamboo trays typically found at these type of specialty brunch places.
Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth left Miami to open "Root & Bone" in New York City, and the culinary community wondered when they would return. Lucky for our group, they recently did and we get to sample their creations now! (Normally this is a $65 menu, but our group is getting treated to a special deal.
(For those who can't make it to the dinner, there is an on-going Wednesday promotion for Ladies which offers a $25 food &/or drink credit on the house, that started a few weeks back).
