Chef Diego Munoz brings his talents to the heart of downtown Brickell with his first United States venture at 1111 Peruvian Bistro. Munoz is most recognized for helming the kitchen at Astrid y Gastón in Peru, the 14th best ranking restaurant in the world according to San Pellegrino “World’s Top 50 Best Restaurants” in 2015. In addition, to working under the careful teachings of Gaston Acurio, Munoz has also worked in other World’s Top 50 Best Restaurants including Ferran Adria’s El Bulli and Andoni Luis Aduriz’s Mugaritz both in Spain, as well as the Michelin-starred Grand Vefour in Paris.
At the bistro, Munoz finds the culinary cross section between refined kitchen and approachable cuisine. Menu items consist of traditional Peruvian creations including crudos, tiraditos, ceviches, causas and anticuchos, along with comforting entrees.
