Here are the notes that I took during the first annual Albanian diaspora forum in Chicago. It would be good to share your photos that were taken during the two days. I will be preparing a version of the session on strategy separately and circulating it among the group. Since I did not plan to keep notes for the event, I do not have a complete accounting of all the took place. I would be glad to hear from others in order to get a more complete picture.

Hey Everyone!
Pershendetje! Si je? Si keni qen? I just wanted to say hello- May God continue to be glorified through the ADF and our conversations- In coming days, I would like to send out some followup thoughts as well as a survey so we can find out how to serve one another better for next year (The Survey will also include a question about the desired location for 2013). If anyone has any thoughts/prayer requests/ideas for the Albanian ministries in the various cities, please don't hesitate to share. We hope to organise an outreach for 11/28 here in Las Vegas, and possibly also L.A.

Last Tuesday I had a chance to share with my brother Arthur and a brother in Christ, Ernest Nasto, our Chicago gathering news/ideas. We are all encouraged and eager to start a new season in our ministry.

We are in the process of scheduling a family back yard with the intention of inviting everyone to join us in a bible reading/spiritual discussion group starting in the fall. This is something that we have had in the past and has had great results.

Also, in the next few weeks we might be able to schedule a community wide seminar titled “How to prepare yourself and your  kids for college”

We hope this will serve the community well and provide another avenue for us to have a greater influence in the life of our community.  Please pray for us that God will provide wisdom and grace to see this events come to life and be a success.

My name is Jason Stryd.  Many of you likely met Martin Katro at the Chicago Forum.  Martin and I work together among Albanians in Philadelphia.

Femi Cakolli, a good friend of mine and pastor of Bashkesia Ungjillore e Mesise in Prishtina will likely be flying into Chicago this saturday and is looking for a place to stay.  He was supposed to be flying to Des Moines for a conference with Steve Galegor the same night, but because of Hurricane Sandy his schedule seems to have been messed up.  Details are still being worked out, but he is looking for some options.

Beautiful to see how the greater Albanian Network can care for one another. Tomorrow, Larry returns from Tirana. We really enjoyed being able to share at the AEP conference regarding the challenges in reaching the Albanian Diaspora. This last week Larry participated as well as presented a talk in the church planting movement conference at Kisha e Perendise. Perhaps one of our greatest joys in Albania was enjoying our youngest grand baby born in Tirana a month ago. What a joy to have an Albanian born grand daughter!
