As many of you that have been enjoying the great food for many years. Before Mary and Mitch sold the business, Mary's mom was cooking for 60 years since she came here in the 50s.

Lucija “Lou” Strebick, 96, the beloved former cook of the New Era passed away on Friday March 8th. 

The family will receive friends Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Norm Douglas officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron. 330-724-1281.
