This Thursday is May 1st and we will be at the New Era Cafe for dinner at 6pm and our meeting at 7:30.
Possibility on block chain if Jack can make it on time, or we will have a different topic TBA.
Hope everyone can make it.

We can have a distro talk and demonstrate next meeting.

I have a couple of older laptops that we can upgrade to different Linux distros.
Maybe try Mint or Debian or Fedora .

We can get Redhat RHEL on a system and get Scott to demonstrate the deference of the versions.

If anyone can demonstrate a user friendly Linux distro that will be a good replacement for the unsupported hardware that Win 11 will abandon, please bring it along.

The number of still good computers are destined to e-wast and can be free to many people.
This is a great way get them to join the Linux community.

Looks good. I think we should do a upgrade to Linux as Windows 11 is really getting invasive.

The windows 11 can be installed on a computer without the hardware secure chips.
I am getting ready to upgrade my older laptops again.

I like the RHEL idea!

I'm usually good for installing Debian.  (seen my license plate?)

I was actually considering giving a talk on the various BSD's.

I like that idea, BSD was the core of many distributions.

With all the Debian versions from Ubuntu to Raspberry pi, it would make a good talk. Following all the forks.
This can make a topic for several meetings.
Let's set it up.!
Rick.
