EARTH HOUR

Today is the day people around the world participate in Earth Hour.
Earth Hour is an hour when everyone is asked to turn off all their
lights and some stop using any source of power. For Canadians its
today or tonight at 8pm til 9pm.
I was shocked last year by many who questioned this activity going on
around the world today, there thought it was a joke or prank of some
sort, even some who were or worked in media outlets apparently were
totally unaware of this event although it had been advertised and
mentioned on the net in many places.
So although a tad late to notify most of you today is the day we do
this. At 8pm EST for one hour.,
Hope you participate and enjoy what its like to just see the world
around you without electricity, gas or oil or whatever providing you
with lights etc.
It is after all only one hour out of our lives.

Interesting notion Earth Hour and I suppose many believe it adhere to it, but for me the true issue at hand is not so much of sitting in the dark for an hour, the issue for me is that price we pay for this power and of the debt retirement bill the tax payers have to foot due to the shortsightedness and bumbling in ept Government who year after year fell for the hooky that the power company execs handed everyone and then were paid out exorbitant payouts. While earth hour is a noble concept I think that this issue of paying a faulty debt should be addressed. Would you in all fairness expect me to pay your debts????
