I just read this article and was wondering what others think about
it.

I have recently moved to the city and now have access to many types of
places to purchase coffee ready made. I tend to find a lot of places
the coffee tastes burnt or watery and its hard to find a good cup of
coffee consistently. Does anyone else notice this.
Do you think complaining to the staff of such places warrants that you
be barred from their premises?

Starbucks coffee has that burnt flavour - it's their distinct taste.
You can ask if they have something else ready and ask for a sample.

At a small coffee shop they served coffee with a weak flavour.
They had the same supplier for years and didn't want to change.
Everyone there was always friendly - so I kept coming back in spite
of the watery tasting coffee.
