Hi - I am somewhat bewildered about people not giving any kind of
acknowlegement when you do them a favour or do anything nice to them.
At Chrismas time a volunteered to take pictures of a Christmas play. I
sent out the pictures (e-mail) and no one acknowleged receiving them.
The other day I bought flowers for someone's birthday. The son was
home and I left them with him. No one called or just aclnowleged
receiving the flowers.
I e-mail people I haven't heard for a long time and let them know how
I am doing - very seldom do I get back a reply. Does it mean people
are too busy with their own lives - or are they saying: we are really
not interested in you or your life?

I agree JohhnyCanuck -- I do wonderful things for my husband all the
time and he doesn't acknowledge or thank me ... the bed doesnt make it
self -- the dinner doesnt just magically appear ---- I wonder if he
ever thinks how the clear laundry appears in his closet all the
time... Its just life I guess

Tis a great shame, because without people like you, the world wouldn't
go around.
Just keep on doing what you're doing, because what goes around, comes
around.
One they will get their rewards as will you !

The same happens to me a lot too and it does make your blood boil
sometimes.
I usually just say ok and then move then to the bottom of my 'future'
priority list.

With the case of the emails, it could be that they just never got the
email. (Could be spam filtering blocking it, or maybe that email
address is no longer used. You don't get bounces as much as you did in
the good old days!

And despite the fact I don't know you, I'm thankful for all the help
you give :)
One day it could be me asking for help, and it's always good to know
that there are still people can you rely on somewhere in the world.

All the best,

Regards

Chris

Just leave the bed for a few days, don't make the dinner (or leave
microwave ready meals out with instructions on how to press start).
And don't pick up his washing from the bathroom / bedroom floor (he's
bound to do that too ;) )
He'll soon get the message...

It's a man thing... We just need ehjukatin

Regards

Chris
