One Self

I had this experience a couple months ago. It was very late at night,
I was sitting on my bed with several of my dogs. There was one dog
right behind me, and it was licking my back. Then all of a sudden I
seemed to be slightly above, and slightly forward of my body. I was
looking down at this dog licking my body's back, and I could see the
body, mind, and self of all the dogs and even my own body.
Interestingly, we all had the same self, but the mind's did not
recognize this, they only recognized different bodies and different
minds. The Self of each one seemed to be hidden, so to speak. It also
became clear that human understanding of death; we go to a funeral for
instance and say "'ol Joe lost his life" was incorrect. It is the One
Self that loses a body, but it doesn't matter because it is living
through all the other bodies. The One Self is the only one living, and
the only one who has ever lived.
