Let's say Nis was right that I am not the body-mind. If that is true it is also true that the sense of "I am" (beingness) comes out of the body-mind and has nothing to do with the so called true self. This also means that since all senses and thinking arises from the body then the real self cannot "see", "think" talk....and so on. The true self cannot feel anything. "It" is just "filled" with all this stuff which comes out of the body-mind. When the body dies off the self stays but it is empty of content.

Did I get it right?

There is no you, it is an illusion.

The true self is the physical being, which in turn is a part of all that is.

Of course it can. Are you still looking for a separate self? something which is apart from all this? like a soul or a spirit or a little Marko driving the dream machine? I hate to be the one to break it to you but there isn't any such thing. The notion of self is a spatial awareness anomaly that the human mind invents to interact with and make sense of a seemingly separate universe. Stop doing that!

Well no, how can you. There is no way of knowing what will happen when the body dies.

Cheers

Mark

When the body dies off, who is around to note the staying(or not staying) of the self or that it is filled with content or is empty of content.

"Did I get it right?"

So long the persisting sense of a question...... so long the sense of a play of thought, in thought..... as thought.

A play of thought ......which includes the sense of a biological body, through which the question arises and persists.

what you are looking for is self-realization

the definite recognition of yourself

only a very few can raise their hand to this

this is your final reminder Godszen...

there is only nothing to hold your hand up to

anyone who claims to have a definite recognition of self is still lost

mysticism is very nice, but still lost

it seems as though there many different awakenings

you may know everything,

you may know nothing,

you may become everything,

or you may disappear completely,

maybe, or perhaps there is what is obvious

let's point backwards using the hand

in the reference "my hand" the hand exists (certainly by agreement, if nowhere else)

the thing taking ownership that creates the notion of "my" is nowhere to be found

you may know everything,

unlikely

you may know nothing,

so that nothing may come to know itself perhaps

you may become everything,

again, unlikely

or you may disappear completely,

I was never really here :)

I ...........Yes................I said "I" ............... who else
is there?
Other than 700 million egos.
Only come back to the group because I love you all.
I did not find anything.
Only what was always already here.
I bit of a disappointment I must admit.
I thought I would break into some other plane or something.
Not the case.
Now I just see things as they are.
Plain and simple.
My happiness and contentment level have increased about 90 %.
My ego ...........yes "my" no longer controls me"
Am I my true self? ........No
Have I been at the right moments? .........yes
Do I get it........yes
Do I get it.........no
