Last Reminder: Kresge Fellowship Program 2010 for Under-resourced and Minority-Serving Higher Education Institutions

Application Deadline: March 15, 2010

This is a reminder about the Kresge Fellowship Program (http://www.campusgreenbuilder.org/node/26) that provides training for a senior member of under-resourced institution to build expertise on sustainability in higher education and campus 'green building.'  There are a limited number of open slots, and the deadline for fellowship application is March 15, 2010. The Fellowships will be awarded to 25 Under-resourced Colleges and Universities.

Second Nature (http://secondnature.org/), has launched a capacity-building program, Advancing Green Building in Higher Education (http://campusgreenbuilder.org/node/474), focused on addressing some of the challenges faced by under-resourced colleges and universities (particularly Title III and Title V schools) to 'build green' on their campuses.  As part of this program, the fellowships will provide free registration, accommodations, and travel expenses (up to $2,000 per person) for fellows to attend one green building-related conference among a selection of options, such as the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Conference 2010 (http://www.aashe.org/conf2010)  and U.S. Green Building Council's Greenbuild Conference 2010 (http://www.greenbuildexpo.org/Home.aspx).  Facilities directors, campus planners, and vice presidents of finance and business will be eligible for the fellowships.  Fellows will also become members of the Kresge Fellowship Network that will include other learning opportunities.

To obtain more information about the Kresge Fellowship Guidelines and Application Form, please visit http://www.campusgreenbuilder.org/node/26.

If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact me at 617-722-0036 X209 or email at an...@secondnature.org.

Many thanks,
On the Behalf of the Advancing Green Building Team
