In November, the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) received a $1.8
million grant to be used towards greening campuses at Minority-Serving
Institutions (MSIs). Second Nature is UNCF’s advisory partner. The
grant will benefit 400 colleges and universities throughout the United
States, and your school may be one of the beneficiaries. Learning
Institutes, Technical Assistance Workshops and mini-grants up to
$20,000 are among the initiatives planned for this new program. Please
visit
http://www.secondnature.org/news/uncf_kresge_grant.html for the
press release and details. We will keep you updated on the program’s
progress as we learn more.
Do you have any questions about this new initiative, or thoughts as to
how we can make this initiative most useful to schools like yours? For
example, what would you like to see as an outcome? Do you have
speakers to recommend? What kind of workshops would you find
beneficial?
Thank you!
