Differen as a treatment of acne

Accutane is a very debatable medicine and many people avoid using it
due to the pronounced side effects of it .
Acne patients are now increasingly going in for Differin which is said
to safer than Accutane and is increasing finding favor among both
doctors & patients suffering from acne .
Differin contains Adapalene which is a stable gel which when applied to
the skin normalises the differentiation of the follical of the skin &
reduces the Keratin content in the skin , which is the main cause of
acne since differin promotes cell division .
Due the hormonal changes that occur in the body during puberty ,
pregnancy there is a large amount of Keratin formed due to the
excretion from sebaceous glands which comes in contact with germs &
bacteria it forms acne lesions .
Differin like Accutane must be taken only after the
doctor/dermatologist instructs you to do so & apply this gel only to
the affected areas after a thorough wash & avoid conntact with the
mucous membranes of the body .
Differein is safer than accutane but there are many precautions that
must be taken ..so use prudently .
