Acne in middle ages

I'm 33 and I still suffer terribly with acne on my face, especially
around my chin and mouth area, and it causes me so much misery and
depression. I've tried all the products and recently went to see my GP
who have prescribed contraceptive pills. I've been taking them for a
month and I still haven't seen any improvement.

I eat a fairly healthy diet. Most days I eat five portions of fruit and
vegetables - but I do occasionally eat chocolates and cakes when I'm
feeling very low. But then again, I read that chocolates don't cause
spots.
