I know my way very well around both, but I prefer Firefox (I am using
version 3.5 at the moment). I love the depth of customization you can
have with Firefox. I have heard that active X can download malicious
software if used improperly or carelessly, but i never had a problem
with it. Now that I keep thinking about it I have heard that IE is
the Achilles Heel of Windows. Is there a set in stone answer of which
is better?

Firefox is a good browser, and add ons are indeed a good thing about
it, but after a while and installing a lot of add ons, you'll find
that Firefox is getting sluggish and slow and it takes a long time to
start up, and that is something i don't like about Firefox, chrome in
other hands is a good light browser, and it starts up almost instantly
when you click it's icon, i only use Firefox when i need to use an add
on like video download helper or fireftp, otherwise i use chrome,
internet explorer is down at the bottom, it has lots of mistakes and
bad things some times when its rendering pages, shows broken images,
and from my experience in web designing, i hate putting html hacks to
fix internet explorer errors.
so in short, my choice would be chrome, firefox, and i don't stand
seeing the IE icon lol

I used to notice that my browser would get sluggish but after removing
a couple addons I never endede up useing and using disk cleanup and
other tools it increased greatly. Then again maybe imi just used to a
good internet connection.

mind that there is a difference between a slow browser and a slow
connection, you cant change your connection speed unless you pay more
for a better connection, but you can do some tweaks to make your
browser faster, firefox has the good "about:config" page that enables
you to do some small messing with the browser, but chrome doesnt,
one good thing about chrome is that its a multi process browser, not
multi thread like firefox, if firefox freezes, you have to close it
all, firefox does restore your session and that is a good thing, but
with chrome you can end only that tab that is frozen. which saves you
a lot of cussing times lol

chrome is still a new browser, it doesn't have much yet, but there is
some few add ons that are available, and more are being added every
day
here is a link http://www.mychromeaddons.com/ for some chrome add ons

huh wow. I didn't know Chrome had so much. I'm using chrome at the
moment and it's growing on me. I'm liking the lack of toolbars.
