As I stood in Staples with $62 worth of ink for my Epson printer, I
thought to myself, "I wonder how much a new printer would cost?" I
meandered over to the new printer aisle and discovered that a new
printer with more features and ink would cost $100. So I bought it.
How many of you do the same thing?

It's sad, but I've done the same thing.  Even managed once to get a printer on sale for cheaper than I was going to pay for the two containers of refill ink cardridges.

Try it in the UK. Buying the printer can be cheaper than replacing the
ink so we finish up scrapping brand new unused printers to save doing
the recharge bit and wasting the ink that fills the tubes. I bought a
Lexmark laser printer for £17 (about $20 dollars at the present rate
and even less at the time of purchase) with a starter ink cartridge
which is about half the normal size and a new full cartridge will cost
me £45. Lisa, did you notice what Sarah said re my suggestion?

I guess I should also say that I don't buy "compatible" cartridges.
I've had very bad luck with them over the years and only buy OEM carts
from now on.

Hi Manny!

No I didn't see what she'd said - send it to me in a private message, would ya?  Either a link, or what was said, to keep it off of this particular forum, lol.

I have to say, however, I did read what you had written, and I was really touched.  Thanks a million.  :-)

Hi All!
Now days printer manufacture's economy is around to gain profit from
the ink cartridges. They sell the printer below the manufacturing
cost.
