Hello Nanotech cluster.

 

  I have worked with the group at Keck for many years.  They are great to work with.  If you have any interest in AFM this should be a great workshop.  There are many other tools in Keck.  For details see below.

Announcing the Annual Keck Center AFM User Workshop

June 1st-4th

Lecture: 9-11 am Mon - Thursday

Lab Group 1: noon – 4 pm Tuesday June 2nd

Lab Group 2: noon – 4 pm Wednesday June 3rd

Overflow Lab Group 3: noon – 4 pm Thursday June 4th

 

Including a Special Asylum Research Sponsored Workshop Friday June 5th 9 am – 5 pm

 The AFM workshop is open to all UA students and researchers who will be using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) for their research projects.  Attendance is limited to 18 and preference will be given to new AFM users.   The 4 day AFM workshop will consist of lecture and lab sections geared to introduce new users to the technique.  Topics covered will include contact mode, intermittent contact mode (tapping or AAC mode), liquid imaging, and data analysis.  On Friday June 5th an application scientist from Asylum Research will be here to present lecture and demonstrations of Nanomechanical Mapping and blueDrive on the Cypher AFM.  This special workshop is included for AFM workshop attendees.  This workshop is provided free of charge, and the deadline to apply for the course is Friday May 29th at 5pm.
