what do you guys do for money on the road? do any odd jobs? plan to?

Shane answers:

well - that's a hard one.
we're not sure... we're broke and if we have to, we'll do everything
you've mentioned.

It does take away from the project if we can't stay sponsored, it'll
make the project more of a reality type show about "those crazy middle-
aged freaks"

my thoughts are, if we can't get folks interested, and willing to
contribute with money, shelter, food or spreading the word, well this
crazy plan just might die.

we do have a sponsors page, you can buy a day, pay amy to bake you
cookies, I'll build you a "fig rig", we'll wear your companys t-shirt,
or post your ad on our ride... we do feel we offer a service for some
and an important outlet for others.

u check out those companys that pay u to let them wrap your car in
ads?
they look for lots of exposure so......i think u guys will be able to
get gas to hop from one point to another...theres lots of ways,like
the get out of town fund. The "rolling abomination" is still parked if
u need it.......haveing a musician or hooker along would prove
invalable too.

yea man.. we're looking into all of the options.
too bad we took our first sponsor at their word, you see they wanted
an exclusive and asked us to make sure everything went thru HQ. So, we
stopped looking... wish they had been professional enough to let us in
on their no-show attitude, we could have fixed this issue sooner.

We push forward with the help of you... consider PROJECT A YEAR AT THE
WHEEL like Public Broadcasting, but more like Fucked-Up Broadcasting
or... Underground Broadcasting... whatever you call it, it's
definitely an experiment in new media that will live or die thru
public support.

The costs of this trip are daunting - just gas alone is costing a
bundle. We don't mind roughing it, but we do need to get from place to
place so we can create videos and audio to broadcast to the world.

Please help us stay on the road, help us tell the stories that must be
told.
