Temenos 09: Sacred Songs and Arkhangelos
Sacred songs will be a portrait concert of the brilliant Ukranian
composer Valentyn Silvestrov.
The performance on 24 Sept 2009 in St.Peter's Drogheda will contain
two world premieres and Valentyn Silvestrov's first visit to Ireland:
а really beautiful work called 5 new pieces for violin and piano
performed by Elizabeth Cooney and Elisaveta Bumina, as well as 5
Sacred Songs performed by a new Irish choir Louth Voices conducted by
Tõnu Kaljuste.
