K-16-2025 Secretary nomination

Dear K-16 Members,
Per our committee rules, after 6 years of service, the current Chair, Dr. Baris Dogruoz will graduate at the end of June 2025, and the Vice Chair, Prof. Amy Marconnet and the Secretary, Dr. Luca Amalfi will move up to fill the Chair and Vice Chair positions, respectively. Therefore, the nomination for K-16 Secretary Position is now open.
The elected officer will serve a 6 year term in total(July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2031). The term will start with the first 2 years as the Secretary, 2 more years as the Vice Chair, and the last 2 years as the Chair. As part of our committee tradition, the officers alternate between industry and academia. Therefore, nominations from this year will be considered only from academia. Any member from K-16, HTD, and EPPD can be either nominated or can forward their name to be considered for election.
Election logistics
1) Nominations will be accepted starting now until May 30, 2025. For more details on the nomination process, see below.
2) K-16 full members will cast their votes from June 4 to June 20, 2025.
3) The outcome of the election will be shared shortly thereafter, and the new Secretary will be welcomed at the K-16 committee meeting during the ASME InterPACK 2025 in Anaheim, CA.
Nomination Process
1) The nominator must receive consent from the nominee that he/she is willing to serve if elected for the above position for the complete term.
2) The nominator must send:
· Candidate bio + list of activities supporting K-16/HTD/EPPD.
· Vision Letter to members for K-16 under your leadership (1-page)
3) Nominations must be sent via email to the K-16 Leadership team at asme....@gmail.com with subject "K-16-2025 Secretary nomination".
