Hello

We wish you a shubh festival season of Navratri, Vijay Dashami and Diwali. While we celebrate the victory of righteousness and knowledge over ignorance, a key part of our festivals is sewa, a selfless service to all those around us. Keeping this in mind, last year several like-minded organizations came together and successfully ran the Sewa Diwali Food Drive during which we raised 10,737 lbs of food to feed the hungry!

As senior members of the community, please support our team in collecting food for the needy and supporting our local communities.

During the Sewa Diwali Food Drive, we will collect non-perishable vegetarian food items and donate them to the local pantries. A list of the most common items has been attached to this email. The following website will list all the food collection centers where you can drop off your donations: https://sewadiwali.org/center/center_statewise/oregon/4

Sewa Diwali Food Drive will run from Navratri until November 21st (will extend a week or so based on need at the Shelters).

This year we are adding more collection centers (to cover more areas of need) and Shelters/Pantries so we can feed more. Let's all take one step forward together to help those in need.
