Website for Association of Seniors of Indian Origin -ASIO-PDX

Hello Friends,

 

My name is Sunita Garg.  I along with several others have been helping Harbans Ji in designing and developing the ASIO-PDX website (www.asia-pdx.org) which is ready to be launched on Oct. 1^st.  

 

The website provides two level of access: 1) sustaining member, and 2) guest visitor (non-member).   As a guest visitor, you would be able to navigate and visit features and webpages that are meant for the public in general.  On the other hand, as a sustaining member, you would have access to several additional features such as “message board” for posting and participating in discussion forums, access to membership directory, organizing and participating in short courses on topics of interest to seniors, etc.  

 

I invite and encourage you to sign up as a sustaining member.  Also, please provide your comments or feedback for further improving the website. 

 

Most importantly, please note that all future notification emails about the upcoming events or meetings will be sent via the website. In order to receive them you need to sign up as Sustaining Member or Guest Visitor.  To sign up visit: https://asio-pdx.clubexpress.com/ Click on Membership tab, select from Member Sign up or Guest Visitor Sign up from the drop down and follow directions.

You might have already seen the following message from Sunita Garg.  I would strongly encourage you to sign up either as a sustaining member or as a Guest Visitor onto the website (www.asio-pdx.org) to continuing receiving the messages regarding our activities.  Please note there is small annual fee ($30.00 for single and $60.00 for couple) for the sustaining member.  It is mainly to cover the expenses of this website and for you to access to some of the additional features mentioned in the Sunita’s email.   

 

Starting October we will be shifting back our meeting days from Wednesdays to Saturdays to accommodate some of our members who are still working full time.    Thus, our next meeting will be on 2^nd Saturday on October 10.

 

I am very interested in your comments and suggestions for further improving the website and how best it could serve you needs and expectations.
