Hi Eric--I'm trying to organize a different panel.  But if you need somebody to Chair I could help with that.  Best--Mike

Hi everyone,

I've suddenly found myself alone in the forest as the organizer of a panel I had submitted an abstract for withdrew unexpectedly only a few weeks before the February 1st deadline.

I have an abstract on a graphic novel that deals with Blackwater contractors in Baghdad during the US occupation--illustrating personal and structural trauma--so I can envision a panel on private military contractors/mercenaries in general, narrative fiction/non-fiction of the war, or on graphic novels as a whole. I am open to suggestions and happy to do most of the work writing the panel abstract and submitting the material.

If you have any ideas--either for a paper you want to present, or if you might want to chair--please do let me know soon. I am still optimistic about assembling a winning panel, even this late in the game.

Best,
Eric
